Marlite Green Policy: persistent progress for our good earth

Marlite environmental responsibility is evident everywhere in the continuous improvement in our products, processes and third party policing. Believing that the environmental effects of building products should be everyone’s concern, Marlite maintains a dedication to using materials and products that are qualified "low impact." Many, increasingly, qualify for LEED points and all are moving steadily towards raising sustainability in interior design. Major highlights in Marlite’s progressive Green Policy include:

  • Increasing use of wall panel substrates with 100% recycled content
  • All panel substrates with no formaldehyde added
  • Conversion to aqueous-based adhesives and top coatings with low emitting volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • All coatings are HAPs compliant
  • Recycling of all sawdust produced in manufacturing process
  • Reclaiming of all solvents used in manufacturing
  • Strict global environmental compliance in the harvest of premium wood veneers – through extreme selective process only in areas where reforestation, endangered species protection and sustained yield management are absolutely enforced.
