Balance matching for optimum veneer wall patterns

Marlite’s standard practice is to balance-match all premium wood veneer panels for a superior visual effect over random-matching. But we will also meet any desired specification including sequence-matching and blueprint-matching.

Balance-matching versus random-matching of wall panels

With balance-matching, each panel is assembled from veneer leaves of uniform width before edge trimming. Panels may contain an even or odd number of leaves, and distribution may change from panel to panel within a sequenced set.

With random-matching, veneer leaves are placed next to each other in a random order and orientation producing a “board-by-board” effect resulting in considerable pattern and contrast variation not desirable for upscale wall designs.
