Marlite finds the most prized tree varieties for our premium wood veneers. And harvests only a very few trees in areas where reforestation, endangered species protection and sustained yield management are strictly enforced. In fact, the extreme selective process we employ ensures that forest growth is indeed supported, nurtured and accelerated. Marlite Green Policy.

Helping nature thrive and renew

Typically, in a forest of thousands of trees, there are only about 50 that meet AA grade quality for veneer – and only one out of the 50 meets all the criteria for Marlite premium wood veneer. When that tree is selected, it is carefully extracted – without forest clear cutting other trees around it. In the process, removing this older, larger tree opens space and light for younger trees to thrive, thus nurturing forest growth.

The extra green mile

In keeping with today’s growing environmental trends, Marlite provides green substrates for our veneer panels. Additionally, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification is available with some veneer species.
